Ron Hill - President and CEO

Ron’s our resident Aussie, and founder of TruEffect. He cogitates the strategic vision of the company, when he’s not managing employee BarBQ’s and other events involving beer. He’s a techy guy with over 25 years experience in computer systems, and network architecture stuff. He loves soccer (even though he can’t call it football over here) and coaches the sport whenever possible.

Prior to founding TruEffect, Ron was VP of Engineering at MatchLogic/Excite@Home, as well as CIO of Excite, where he built a solid foundation to prepare the company for growth and its merger with @Home.  He’s held numerous Director, CIO and VP positions spanning multiple industries and with companies like Neodata/EDS , G.Heileman Brewing Co, and Oxford Health Plans, not to mention the gold and coal mining, airship, and television and newspaper industries. He holds degrees in Electronics and Telecommunications and Business Management from The Sydney Institute of Technology. Yes, that’s in Australia.

Scott Nelson - EVP and COO

Scott’s from Iowa, just like Captain Kirk (except he doesn’t work in outer space) As co-founder and operations chief, he does just about everything, including being in charge of birthday’s and making sure we get ice cream.  He brings priceless insights from more than 23 years of advertising, promotions and brand management mojo with premium global brands like General Motors, Nokia, Infiniti, and Charles Schwab to guide strategic vision for both the company and our clients.

Scott’s also from MatchLogic, where he led Enterprise Accounts and was responsible for growing revenue with multi-million dollar global clients like Proctor and Gamble. Prior to that, he worked in the Cadillac division of GM, but he doesn’t drive one. He’s a runner and we can’t always catch him, but when we do he’s often busy with consumer privacy activities like presenting the latest privacy insights and outlooks at behavioral advertising conferences and other industry conferences and groups.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from, you guessed it, Iowa State University.
