Marketing Analyst I - Media Services
SUMMARY:
TruEffect Inc, is seeking a Marketing Analyst
for its Media Services team. This position will provide support to senior team members in this fast
growth business unit – creating, implementing, optimizing, scaling, and reporting client online
advertising campaigns. The role will require both quantitative and qualitative skill-set, and an
obsessive attention to detail. These responsibilities will span the gamut of working with members of
the media services team building new financial models and presentations, to helping reconcile
invoices at month’s end. The right candidate will have a positive attitude and a desire to learn – in
a fast paced startup environment.
OVERALL JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position will play a critical role within
the media services organization, and will have the opportunity to take on responsibility quickly if
you're willing to work hard. It's okay if you don't know the media space –: we'll teach you. The
skills you must bring to the table are advanced Excel and PowerPoint (like an I-Banker) and
attention to detail. During the interview process we will administer a short Excel test on site to
show level of proficiency, and we will also give a take home PPT deck that will require
reformatting/grammar check.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Reporting: Pull client reports.
Understand/analyze reports. Format reports. Create new reports. Review reports with clients/manager.
Essentially live in the reports for the clients and campaigns.
• Optimization: Work with media
services managers to optimize campaigns to ensure best possible performance achieved –: maximize
return, minimize waste.
• Create Excel models: Using existing
models/spreadsheets –: develop new reports for client presentations and analysis. Aid in the creation
of new models/templates for marketing services group.
• Create PPT presentations: Utilizing
existing templates, create client facing presentations, with impeccable attention to detail and
formatting
• Marketing/Media Administrative Tasks:
Reconcile invoices, contact publishers/partners regarding campaign details and and billing, interface
with internal finance team to ensure smooth end of month/campaign reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
• Obsessive attention to detail
Measure twice, cut once type personality. You know who you are.
• Excel nerd Like to build models,
create pivot tables, and maybe dabble in macros (your the person people ask for Excel help in your
circle).
• PowerPoint formatting junky. Keeps
things consistent/clean, knows how to insert charts and tell a simple story (no transitions or sound
effects allowed).
• Strategic Execution (above and beyond)
You can prioritize and knock out tasks and don't just do the bare minimum –: surprise us.
